I actually rlealy love the way the blog is now. I feel like it's one of the most thoughtful blogs I read, even when the posts are short! Food is actually something that doesn't interest me, simply because I think about it all day at my job, ha. But the other categories you suggested all sound wonderful. I won't lie, the top two reasons I read your blog are for 1. Fashion and 2. Interiors. GSD is probably 3rd. But the reason why I keep coming back is because I can relate to and appreciate your taste. I don't know if this comment was helpful, but I just wanted to chime in and let you know that I already love the blog as it is.

stun guns suck its a weapon that is only efceftive in close range, and at times fails because of things like clothing or other things such as the person wielding the weapon does not know how to accurately fire the weapontasers are good but require you to be close enough to touch somebody not really ideal with a person armed with a gun or a knife pepper spray well once that gets into the air everybody will have sore eyes however it isn't a necessarily efceftive weapon to render somebody combat inefceftive its more a weapon to disorientate so you can get an upper hand for either running away or bringing the person down

Look forget these know it alls and their vesroin of of Well I can still fight on even after pepper spray These guys aren't troops undergoing constant training. And any Pro will tell you that is you let them get close enough to use a stunner then that same weapon can be used on YOU!. Get the pepper spray that comes out as a stream not a spray!!! it has a longer effective distance and all you want is just enough time and breathing room to spray any other potential attackers and then run like hell.

The cost varies depndeing on where you live but Yahoo also has a yellow pages service that will allow you to hunt phone numbers and adresses to local businesses like that. That way you can call and compare prices. The best non-lethal weapons anyone can carry are their hands. WIth the right training and practice a potential victim can stop any threat short of a gun. And if the agressor is carrying a gun then nothing SHORT of a stun gun would be any help at all. Also, a stun gun is usually no help because it takes too much time to remove it and point it and fire it, the attack can be accomplished in that time. The best defense, really, is just awareness. Get them into a good self defence class, sometimes the police offer them for a fee. Teach them what situations are inherently NOT SAFE.

Great post! You know how much I enjoyed Lady Bart and Jazz and as I said in the reveiw, you offer some strong, well rounded, and fabulously entertaining characters (male or female). I think the tendency to isolate is one that readers look for. You have your m/m to the left, your f/f to the right, the het in the middle (hehe) and some readers get antsy when lines cross. Not all of course and there are no doubt any number of people who enjoy a great crossover with some f/f sex and m/m sex and m/f sex and whatever combination that feels natural to the characters. And conversely some don't enjoy that so they'll avoid that to their liking. One of the reasons I thought you were taking a chance is that a lot of m/m readers have been given nothing but weak tropes and horrible exaggerations of women as either the token fag hag or the scheming chick in love with the gay man. Rarely have I read female characters (lesbian or otherwise) as subtle and well crafted as Lady Bart and Jazz. Thus I could understand why some readers would hear of a female couple and throw their hands in the air prematurely. It's not so much a reflection on you as what they've encountered shaped by their own reading desires. Which I hope also answers JL Merrow's question of why I added the line. No one exists in a bubble, no matter their sexual orientation. WOE shows that when done well, it doesn't matter. Just as when females or even other men in m/m become screaming annoyances, readers are conditioned to avoid it because they don't enjoy it. What I'll be -really- interested in is if any readers dislike WOE for the inclusion of a prominent lesbian couple, they even have their own POV, simply because they're female. That would show more prejudice and clear discrimination than those that can't stand the type of female that routinely shows up.
